Which Virgin River Cast Members Are Married in Real Life?

Virgin River is the latest romantic drama, becoming an obsession for many. Since the pilot in 2019, the show is still going strong and introducing audiences to heart-warming characters. The show is based on a series of novels by Robyn Carr, also named The Virgin River series.

The show is a brilliant adaptation of the novels. While some differences are expected due to the change in the media format, the show has largely been consistent. Avid readers of the books can watch their favorite characters, such as Mel Monroe and Jack Sheridan, for real in the show.

The acting has been stellar for much of the show’s runtime, with fans and critics praising the portrayal of Mel and Jack by Alexandra Breckenridge and Martin Henderson, respectively. Their acting was so good that many people began believing that the two were in a relationship for real.

This turned out to be a false alarm, unfortunately. Many fans had their hearts broken to know that their favorite couple isn’t together off-screen. However, if we may, we can provide those fans some solace.

Aside from Alexandra and Martin, a few cast members are actually married in real life. Their stories are just as adorable as you’ll find on the show. If you’re anything like us, you’ll love a happy ending.

Suppose you’ve been following the show till season 4. In that case, you might have noticed some sparks flying whenever Preacher and Julia are on screen. Of course, Preacher has had a mainstay on the show since season 1, but Julia has only just been introduced.

Despite the short time, the characters have known each other, the actors behind the roles are very well-acquainted. Colin Lawrence and Lucia Walters, who play the characters, are married in real life. This might not seem a surprise to avid watchers of the show. However, their chemistry seems to ooze out of the screen.

Julia meets Preacher when he turns up during one of her Aikido classes. They get to know each other and find a lot in common. So much so that the two tie the knot after a few dates. But, of course, there won’t be much of a TV show without drama, and Preacher and Julia go through their fair share.

Although their TV counterparts are newlyweds, Colin and Lucia have been married for over 20 years. The two met in 1997 when they were starting their acting careers. After two years of dating, the two married in 1999 and have been going strong.

The couple has two wonderful daughters and live in Vancouver, Canada. So far, their life seems to be something ripped out of a storybook. The two celebrated their 20th anniversary in 2019, showing that real love doesn’t fade away.

Their relationship gives us a little hope that there’s someone for everyone. The two are one of the best parts of the show since their relationship, and it is comforting to see that their real-life marriage is nothing less than a fairy tale.
