BBC Casualty Patrick’s dark past ‘rumbled’ as fans say he ‘needs to leave immediately’

Casualty fans are convinced Patrick Spiller has a dark past.

During Saturday’s (June 2) episode of the BBC medical drama, Patrick (Jamie Glover) announced there will be a board review following an increase in serious patient incidents, he instructs the team to be extra vigilant.
Dylan Keogh (William Beck) and Stevie Nash (Elinor Lawless) were suspicious and agreed that Patrick was covering for himself by blaming the team. The duo decided to work together to keep Patrick from patients, but Dylan soon made a discovery.

He learned that Patrick was working a clinical shift and was sent away when he tried to intervene with a patient. Dylan entered Patrick’s office when it is empty and emailed himself the serious incidents report to cross reference against the rotas and obtain evidence of Patrick’s incompetence.

However, when Dylan left the office, Patrick was waiting outside and became suspicious of what he was up to. As Patrick acted shifty, viewers watching at home rushed to their keyboards to share their observations. Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one fan penned: “Who thinks Patrick has a dodgy/dark past? Possibly sacked previously due to malpractice or along those lines… #Casualty”

Another added: “Looks like Patrick’s time might be up.” A third person said: “Oh Patrick. You’re getting worse and my rage is growing #casualty.” A fourth social media user said: Patrick has done a big mistake on the patient! He needs to leave the ED hospital immediately, Patrick has nearly killed his patient! #Casualty.” Someone else said: “Convinced Patrick was struck off prior to joining Holby and got the job as clinical lead through his contacts.”
