Barney Walsh will host the newseries of Gladiators alongside TV stalwart dad Bradley,

but this isn’t his time on the screen.
Fans of the father and son duo will be eagerly awaiting the show after the success of ITV’s travel programme Bradley and Barney Walsh: Breaking Dad.

Five seasons of the show have aired so far, with viewers loving the on-screen chemistry and shenanigans, the Mirror reports.

And the reality programme isn’t Barney’s only TV credit as he recently followed in his dad’s footsteps to pursue acting, landing a role on BBC drama Casualty in spring of 2023.

He joined the hit TV show as Cameron, an accident-prone nurse who had trouble coping with the fast-paced emergency department.

Barney has also appeared in several other films and shows, including appearing in The Larkins alongside his father and as a young Arthur in the Guy Ritchie film King Arthur: Legend of The Sword. He was a guest star in BBC’s Death of Paradise and has also appeared in Doctors and Law and Order.

While Barney will be hosting alongside Bradley for the first time on Gladiators, he has plenty of presenting experience under his belt. Since October 2017, he has worked as an ambassador and presenter of the Miss World pageant.
It is believed he met girlfriend Stephanie Del Valle Diaz while taking part in charity events as part of the Miss World Beauty With A Purpose initiative. Stephanie was crowned Miss World in 2016 and is a Puerto Rican musician and model.

The couple appeared to confirm their relationship where they appeared together on the red carpet at the BAFTA TV Awards together in 2019, but both are very private.

They have not been photographed together recently but with both stars sharing little of their personal lives on social media, it is not clear if they have parted ways or are still together.

Gladiators viewers tuning into the show will already know of Barney’s famous dad Bradley, who hosts hit shows The Chase and Blankety Blank, among others.

And Barney’s mum Donna also has a past filled with showbiz, shooting to fame in the late eighties after starring in Robert Palmer’s video for his 1988 hit Simply Irresistible.

The choreographer and former professional dancer has also appeared on several TV shows, including The Kenny Everett Show and The Russ Abbot Show, and for two decades has worked as both a choreographer and judge for the Miss World beauty pageant.
