EastEnders will air a big exit next week – leaving residents reeling.
Next week on the BBC soap, an exit looms for one resident. Kim is fuming at Yolande and Patrick for leaving Denzel alone, whilst Howie struggles to reconnect with his son. Denzel meets up with Ebony, but things get bad when Howie interrupts, and Denzel storms off, fuming things have been ruined between them.
Meanwhile, Yolande is more worried about a lack of communication from Levi. She heads to the Queen Vic pub to ask Chelsea whether she’s heard from Levi, where she asks them to be Jordan’s grandparents.
However, they’re left disappointed when Chelsea reveals that Levi has left Walford. Fans will remember that Yolande opened up to Levi about Pastor Clayton sexually assaulting her – but he has now left Albert Square.
In emotional and heartbreaking scenes, Yolande – played by Angela Wynter – told Patrick (Rudolph Walker) about what happened to her at the hands of Pastor Clayton. The scenes were heavily praised by fans.

“It felt like the right thing, following everything that happened in Yolande’s story up to this point. We needed a whole episode to unravel the knot and unpick what happened to Yolande and get Patrick’s response. Until that happened, Yolande and Patrick’s relationship couldn’t move forward. So, I’m glad they decided to tell the story this way. I’m grateful to get to do a two-hander episode in EastEnders, and I thank them for giving me that opportunity,” Angela said at the time.
Speaking about how hard it’s been for her character, she added: “It’s been so painful for Yolande to keep this from Patrick, and that’s coming over in how she reacts to him. Patrick doesn’t know what’s happened.
“He feels like Yolande’s rejecting him, but that’s not the case at all. Yolande is all over the place with her emotions – she can’t tell him because she feels ashamed, so she feels angry, and then she behaves badly towards Patrick. Yolande is also full of grief because she fears that when Patrick finds out, he may reject her, and she couldn’t bear that pain.”
