In Thursday’s episode of the long-running BBC soap, Junior indirectly came clean about his affair. Speaking to his wife, he said: “Being here, seeing Dad, you know how much that’s been messing with my head. How low I’ve got, how lost. I love you, like, so, so much.”
A tearful Monique replied: “Again, Junior? Again? How are we here again? After everything we’ve been through. The hurt you caused me. The promises you made.”
While Junior tried to reassure her that it was a one-off mistake, Monique didn’t believe him. “I have fought for us, that’s why I forgave you. For our family, for our son. Time and time again. You were on your last warning, Junior,” she said. “Are you trying to push me away? Do you want me to end things? Who was she?”
She then confronted Bianca in the café but when she found out that Junior didn’t tell Bianca that he was married, Monique returned to talk to Junior again. “This is emotional abuse. What kind of man are you?” she said. “I’m going back to Dubai and Xavier’s coming with me.”
However, before leaving George attempts to convince Monique to stay, saying he wants to put an end to the cycle of father and son estrangement in the Knight family. And while Monique then heads to a hotel, it’s unclear if she plans to stay for long.
And unbeknownst to his family, it’s not just Bianca who Junior has been sleeping with, having also set his sights on his dad’s ex-wife Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins). The pair slept together in a recent episode, and after some more flirtation, Junior said he could see himself repeating their dalliance and while Cindy said that it would never happen again, she walked off with a smile on her face.
