On The Young and the Restless, Devon (Bryton James) and Abby (Melissa Ordway) may not know where their wedding will be, but it won’t stop some special guests from making it to the ceremony.
According to Soap Opera Digest, Devon will have more family members attending the wedding when Loren Lott returns as Ana, and Chene’ Lawson appears as Harmony.
Devon’s family returns to The Young and the Restless
In 2005, Chene’ Lawson originated the role of Harmony, also known as Yolanda Hamilton, Devon’s biological mother. Yolanda had been on and off drugs for years, but when she turned her life around, she changed her name to Harmony.
Soap vet Debbi Morgan also played the character from 2011 to 2012, but Lawson reprised the role when Harmony was last seen in 2023.
Harmony had returned to Genoa City and had a surprise visit with Devon. At the time, Bryton James (Devon) told Soap Opera Digest that working with Lawson again after 18 years was “like stepping into a time machine.”
James noted that Lawson hadn’t changed almost two decades later. He said, “It was one of those amazing moments on stage when you truly don’t have to act, you just look at each other, and all of the history and love comes right to the surface.”
Devon’s sister Ana is back
Lott told Soap Opera Digest in 2022, “Three weeks after I moved to L.A., I booked YOUNG AND RESTLESS and it was just fate. I absolutely fell in love with Bryton [James, Devon], who played my brother. It was a dream working with him and forming a friendship that has lasted since the show. We still hang out, he’s still my big brother, and he still gives me so much guidance in this industry.”
Lott also noted that she thought it was “cool” that as Ana, she was able to sing on the show. There has been no confirmation on whether or not Ana will perform at Devon and Abby’s wedding or the reception.
