Abigail Hawk teases Baker’s endgame ahead of the Blue Bloods’ return

The actress has strong thoughts about what will happen to her character.

Abigail Baker may not have been a member of the Reagan family, but she was a vital part of Blue Bloods’ success. She spent countless years as Frank Reagan’s (Tom Selleck) right-hand woman, and played a central role in the decision-making process on the show’s most difficult cases.

Blue Bloods is gearing up for its final season on CBS, and the actress who plays Baker, Abigail Hawk, recently gave an extensive interview to Women’s World. Not only did she weigh in on the film’s legacy, but she also gave her opinion on what will happen to her character.

Hawk thinks her character could be commissioner

When asked where she saw Baker ending up, the actress gave a two-pronged answer. In one sense, Baker would have been delighted to continue helping Reagan as Commissioner of the New York City Police Department, but in another sense, the actress felt that Baker would be the next in line. worthy responsibilities:

“If given the chance, Baker would make a great Police Commissioner because she’s driven, she’s balanced, she’s fair, she’s fair, she knows what’s in the room before anyone else. “

Hawk is confident that her character can change the department for the better, and if Reagan decides to retire in the series finale, it’s hard to think of a more worthy replacement. Of course, the area where Baker has been less successful is her personal life.

Hawks teased his character’s divorce

Hawk notes what many Blue Bloods fans already have, which is that the character would be better off if she decided to leave her current husband. The relationship has been rocky for most of the show’s history, and the character could use a positive change of scenery:

“Baker needs to leave her husband because she has given him so many opportunities and I think she and her children deserve more and a better path forward.”

Again, it’s hard to argue. Baker is expected to play a bigger role than ever in season 14, but Hawk has admitted that she will be working alongside TV legend Tom Selleck. The actress called Selleck an extremely hard-working person and asserted that he “has passion for everything he does.”

This may be the last time Baker and Reagan take to the track, but we can’t wait to see where they both go at the end of the series.
