Actress Michelle Collins previously snapped back after she was labelled a “cougar”.
The 62-year-old EastEnders icon is stirring up trouble in Albert Square once again as Cindy secretly rekindles an old flame with her ex-hubby George Knight, right under his current squeeze Elaine Peacock’s nose. This juicy plot twist comes after Cindy’s shock resurrection last year, having been presumed dead for ages.
Cindy’s bombshell comeback to Walford in 2023, after a quarter-century hiatus, coincided with a whirlwind of events in Michelle’s own world. One of them happens to be her relationship with Mike Davidson.
Michelle and Mike have been together for 10 years and recently tied the knot. However, Michelle has not been very happy with comments about their age gap.
In a previous interview with Daily Star, Michelle said at the time: “Mike is 22 years younger than me and I’m regarded as a predator. It drives me mad. People call him my toyboy beau. He’s nearly 35, for God’s sake.
“He turned to me the other day and said, ‘Surely I’m not still your toyboy, am I?’ I laugh about it now but it is annoying. And I hate that word, cougar.

“I can’t stand it. I find it so demeaning. A cougar is a predator going around looking for young flesh. I’m certainly not like that.”
She continued: “But then, women are judged far more harshly than men. And, funnily enough, often by other women. If people think I look old enough to be his mum then let them! There’s nothing I can do about it. It’s one of the downsides, I suppose, of being in the public eye.”
Two years ago April 2022, Michelle announced that she was engaged to her partner of 10 years, Mike Davidson. Michelle and her hubby aged 38, tied the knot in August 2022 in London surrounded by friends and family, including her co-star Adam Woodyatt who plays her former on-screen husband Ian Beale.
