Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) has struggled to process the news of his partner Cindy’s (Michelle Collins) cheating in EastEnders.
Poor Ian.
As viewers of the BBC One soap will know, Cindy and ex-husband George Knight (Colin Salmon) couldn’t resist a sneaky kiss several weeks ago, whilst she comforted him over the imprisonment of his adoptive dad Eddie (Christopher Fairbank) and subsequent loss of his mum Gloria (Elizabeth Counsell).
To make matters worse, he was engaging in fights at an underground boxing ring, and only Cindy knew about it.
Aware that he was keeping a secret, fiancée Elaine (Harriet Thorpe) became suspicious and discovered the kiss when listening into their conversation.
As a result, George has found himself kipping on Phil Mitchell’s (Steve McFadden) sofa whilst he attempts to repair their relationship.
Earlier this week, Elaine suggested to his daughters Gina (Francesca Henry) and Anna (Molly Rainford) that they enjoy a girls night at Peggy’s with the Slater clan, but things quickly turned sour when Cindy walked in, also looking for a change of scenery.
Meanwhile, George had been employed to work alone on the bar at the Queen Vic, and with it being bank holiday Monday, it was packed to the rafters.
