The truth about Lola Pearce’s charity money has been revealed in EastEnders spoilers for next week.

It has been confirmed who took Lola’s charity money. In tonight’s episode, we will see Stevie Mitchell under suspicion for nicking the funds – but the truth about what really happened is soon set to be revealed.

Spoilers for next week have revealed who is really responsible for the missing money. Next week, Billy and the rest of the Mitchells are sure they know it’s Stevie who nicked the money – whilst Stevie has suspicions of his own.

Thinking Will might be responsible, Stevie quizzes him about it in the café but doesn’t get the answer he wants. Later in the pub, Will furiously defends Stevie to Phil, but the Mitchell matriarch is adamant Stevie is to blame.

Seeing his grandson leave the pub, he follows him and tries to get him to admit to what he’s done. Stevie counsels Will about confessing, and soon loses his temper when Will refuses to say anything. Angry, Will knocks Stevie to the floor and rushes off – leaving Stevie motionless. Will he be ok, or has Will done even more damage?

Lola’s legacy has been charity money towards brain tumour research after she sadly died in heartbreaking scenes several months ago. However, last Christmas, Danielle Harold – who played Lola – made a special one-off return.

As the family sat around on Christmas Day, Lola recorded a posthumous video message in which she told her partner Jay Brown (Jamie Borthwick) that he was running the London Marathon. In the sweet video, she said to him: “You are going to smash this I promise, Lex, do not let him slack, OK?” to which Lexi replied to say: “I won’t mum.”

Speaking about her brief return at Christmas, she said: “It feels a bit like a dream today, it was only when your team were like, ‘oh, they’ve released that you’re in EastEnders at Christmas’, I was like oh yeah! I’ve been keeping all these secrets. I can’t wait to see her back on screen, especially around Christmas, so it’s very exciting.”
