Sharon Watts’ (Letitia Dean) life was turned upside down on Christmas Day when best friend Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) stabbed Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) to death in EastEnders.
After learning that Albie wasn’t his son, Keanu tried to strangle Sharon when she refused to let him see him. Horrified, Linda ended up stabbing Keanu in a bid to save Sharon.
After helping Linda and the rest of The Six hide Keanu’s body, Sharon fled to Australia with son Albie, where she spent several weeks staying with best friend Michelle Fowler.
Having now returned to Albert Square, Sharon has had to come to terms with life without Keanu, all while keeping the secret of the true circumstances surrounding his death.
In upcoming scenes, Sharon learns from Bernie Taylor (Clair Norris) that Keanu’s funeral will be held soon, and she realises that she must break the news to son Albie.
With Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe) having agreed to host the wake in the Queen Vic, Linda struggles to cope as she prepares for the event, but still offers to help Sharon speak to Albie.
However, Sharon declines the offer, and insists that she can do it alone – though it won’t be an easy task.
