Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) and daughter-in-law Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) have never got on particularly well in EastEnders, and recent scenes saw them engage in yet another cat fight – with one very clear winner.
Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) was left shocked this week when Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe) told him that Cindy had kissed ex-husband George Knight (Colin Salmon).
Elaine had overheard Cindy and George discussing their kiss, and soon threw George out.
After discovering George and Cindy working together behind the Queen Vic bar, Elaine decided to get her own back.
With Ian acting coldly towards her, Cindy soon discovered what he knew, and tried to talk to him about it.
Much to her surprise, Ian insisted that it wasn’t a big deal and that they could move on from this – though mum Kathy had a very different opinion.
Kathy has supported Ian through numerous heartbreaks over the years – with several down to Cindy herself. Not to mention, the time she had him shot.
Despite Ian having begged her not to say anything, Kathy was unable to hold her tongue, and soon gave Cindy a dressing down in the middle of the market.
Ironically labelling Cindy a slapper, Kathy smacked her round the face, before demanding that she put Ian out of his misery by dumping him for good.
Though Cindy tried to fight back, Gina Knight (Francesca Henry) held her back, leaving Kathy victorious.
Cindy was left totally humiliated, while Elaine watched on from the Queen Vic window, very amused.
