Earlier this month, it was announced that the soap would be tackling an important storyline which will
see Anna get her drink spiked while on a night out.
Now EastEnders has outlined how the story will unfold, as well as sharing first details of how Anna will be impacted in the aftermath.

In scenes that will air next week, Bobby attends puppy training with Tyson, and he is later teased by Anna and Freddie as they encourage him to be more assertive.
Later, Felix invites Gina, Anna and Freddie on a night out at the club, and the group plan a fun evening at Peggy’s.
As the sisters are getting ready, Gina questions Anna about whether Bobby is the right man for her, but Anna shuts this down and says she is happy in her relationship.

The night unfortunately takes a terrifying turn as the group become concerned about Anna, suspecting she has been spiked – but she is nowhere to be found.
After the traumatic night, Anna wakes up in the hospital, where she realises that her drink has been spiked.
When she returns to The Vic, Gina tries to encourage her to report the incident to the police, but Anna makes it clear she doesn’t want to do this.
Freddie spots that Gina is overwhelmed by the whole situation, so he steps up to support Anna.

Meanwhile, Bobby has been busy himself, sneaking into a van with Peter to find out what Ian’s big secret is.
After the events of the past few days, he is worried about his relationship with Anna, but he is shocked when she tells him she was spiked.
Bobby is supportive of his girlfriend, but during the conversation he accidentally puts his foot in it, and Anna leaves.

Meanwhile, Freddie attempts to support both Bobby and Anna, and she later takes Freddie’s advice and tells dad George about the spiking.
Alongside this story, EastEnders will release an exclusive five-part mini-series, which will give a unique insight into the topic of spiking, featuring a number of perspectives.
The soap is working with leading charities Stamp Out Spiking and WithYou as well as other experts, to ensure the story is told as sensitively as possible.
