Twisted Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry) finally knows the truth surrounding the Christmas murder – following a huge mistake from Kathy Cotton (Gillian Taylforth) in EastEnders.
Of course, Nish wouldn’t be Nish if he didn’t obtain the information in the most underhand way possible.
The women involved; Kathy, Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal), Linda Carter (Kellie Bright), Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean), Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) and Denise Fox (Diane Parish) haven’t\ done the best in keeping quiet – he’s now the fourth Walford fella to discover the truth.
As we know, Linda fatally stabbed Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) with a meat thermometer as he was throttling Sharon. Just minutes before, Denise had hit Nish over the head with a bottle when he lunged towards Suki.
After bundling the body under the café floor wrapped in tarpaulin, they later planted the murder weapon on rapist Dean Wicks (Matt Di Angelo).
Nish was instantly suspicious from the outset, as the women had covered Denise’s attack on him by saying Keanu had arrived in a fit of rage and lashed out towards them all.
Despite Linda confessing to Keanu’s sister Bernie (Clair Norris) this summer, she’s so far stayed quiet.
In tonight’s episode, tensions were high as The Six prepared to be interviewed by DCI Arthurs (Ian Burfield) again.
As Kathy and Suki chatted about their woes, Nish noticed their awkward conversation and later barged his way into the Panesar home – catching Denise and Linda sat around the dinner table.
Stacey soon arrived, followed by Kathy… who didn’t realise he was there. She made her way through the hallway asserting to Suki that they’d have to stick to their story to avoid being rumbled.
Nish overheard, and knew something was awry. After following them down to the police station for his own questioning, he asked DCI Arthurs outright if the women were suspects.
The chief inspector asserted that he wasn’t able to divulge such information, but it was clear that he had his suspicions. When talking to Suki, he asked why her and Linda’s fingerprints were found on the tarpaulin covering Keanu’s body.
Luckily, she thought up a quick cover story and explained that her the skip it came from was beside her partner Eve Unwin’s (Heather Peace) sandwich van, and therefore she’d helped put some rubbish into it.
Later, Suki’s unwelcome guest returned and this time, he demanded answers.
Realising that he wasn’t getting anywhere, Nish stole her phone and slipped out – and headed to Kathy’s house. He strolled in through the kitchen, catching her by surprise and announcing that Suki had told him everything.
She initially didn’t believe him, and went to call son Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) for help. As she turned her back, Nish quickly sent a text from Suki’s phone reading ‘Nish knows, I’m sorry.’
Albert Square’s most dastardly businessman was now privy to the worst possible information!
He headed back to speak to Suki, and told her what had happened.
Surely there’s no way they can escape him now…
