Virgin River: the casting of season 6 is clarified

While Virgin River fans are yearning for the broadcast of a sixth season on Netflix, the cast of the famous romantic series imagined by Sue Tenney continues to expand.

Wave of newcomers to Virgin River! At the beginning of May, while the last episodes of season five of the famous series imagined by Sue Tenney were broadcast on Netflix, a sixth season was announced with fanfare. Postponed to 2025 due to the strike that shook Hollywood in 2023, this new chapter of the romantic series based on the bestselling novels by Robyn Carr has already won over many fans with its five-star cast. New recruits will settle down in Virgin River, like Gigi Neil (Dead Boy Detectives), Rachel Drance (Salvation, The Hardy Boys), Ese Atawo (To All the Boys: Forever and Forever , Tales from the Hood 3) or Erin Kathleen Boyes (My Stepmother, My Hell, Arianna’s Nightmare).

In addition to the newcomers, the main actors of Virgin River will be back for this season 6: Alexandra Breckenridge (Mel), Martin Henderson (Jack), Annette O’Toole (Hope), Tim Matheson (Vernon), Colin Lawrence (Preacher ), Lauren Hammersley (Charmaine), Ben Hollingsworth (Brady), Sarah Dugdale (Lizzie), Zibby Allen (Brie) and Marco Grazzini (Mike). Other characters seen in the previous season of Virgin River could also make their big return to the screen, such as that of Zeke (Garfield Wilson) or that of Joey (Jenny Cooper). Note that New Zealand actor Martin Henderson, who plays Jack Sheridan, will have an additional role during this season 6 since he should wear the director’s hat alongside Martin Wood, as reported by The Viewers Perspective.

VIRGIN RIVER: WILL SEASON 6 BE THE LAST?

While season 6 of Virgin River is still filming, fans of the series are already worried about having to say goodbye to the show’s endearing characters. No need to take out the tissues though! Indeed, according to several stars of Virgin River, the series still has a bright future ahead of it. During a question-and-answer session on Instagram, Martin Henderson declared: “There will be others.” And showrunner Patrick Sean Smith adds: “There is no question of putting an end to anything. I think as long as these characters live, there will always be stories to tell, and that’s an incredible opportunity for any showrunner.” Good news !
