VIRGIN RIVER’s Charmaine had fans concerned after sharing a photo of her bloodied finger on social media.
Virgin River star Lauren Hammersley caused a frenzy in her Instagram comments after she sparked concern by uploading a snap of her bloodied finger. Fans of the Netflix romantic drama checked in with the actress as they await a release date for season four.
Taking to Instagram, Hammersley posted an image of her injured finger which was covered in blood, captioned: “Ten minutes later. Okay. No more hobbies that require sharp things.”
While what appeared to be shattered pieces of ceramic on the floor, her fans were quick to show concern in the comments.
Pammywh99 wrote: “Oh no! Hope you’re ok now.xx.”
While _rubia_feitosa added: “Jeez! Behind the talent… haha. Caution.”
Gorillabrigade was taken by surprise and commented: “I’ve never seen blood that red!”
Which led Hammersley to respond: “I was kind of shocked by it too!”
Mattcorkum shared their experience and wrote: “Yesterday I cut my thumb wide open on a food processor while making bread dough. I, too, should avoid sharp things!”
While Hammersley continues to avoid sharp things, the same can’t be said for her character Charmaine Roberts, who is a hairstylist.
The last time viewers saw Charmaine, they were glad to see she had moved on from Jack Sheridan (Martin Henderson) and had swiftly married Todd (Patrick Sabongui) after three weeks of knowing him.
Fans thought this meant she would finally leave Jack alone to mend his relationship with Mel Monroe (Alexandra Breckenridge), however, this wasn’t the case.
When things in her rushed relationship began to go awry, she confided in Jack, who in turn didn’t want her stressed because she was pregnant with his twins.
This proved to be a major issue with Todd, who met up with Jack to suggest he stayed away from their family.
With fans now sceptical of Todd’s intentions, it soon became clear he was manipulative and controlling which left fans worried for Charmaine in the upcoming season four.
This was seen when he convinced his new wife he wasn’t a “dog person” and forced to give the pooch away, thankfully Jack took her pet in.
As Charmaine had originally planned to move away from Virgin River for a brand new start with Todd, fans have been second-guessing if she will actually leave.
While there is a possibility she could stay in the town to be close to Jack, it’s also likely Todd could force her to move away with him.
Sadly, there had been no update about the premiere of season four despite the announcement filming had officially wrapped.
In other bad news, production for a confirmed season five had to be halted due to severe delays, the Mel Monroe star revealed during an Instagram live.
She stated: “We were supposed to start in March but it’s been pushed so I don’t know. I’m hoping that maybe we’ll start in the summer.”
“It would be nice to film in Vancouver in the summer rather than in the winter because to be quite frank with you guys, I’m pretty done filming in the winter,” Alexandra added.
