New year, new drama – BBC One airs a new instalment of the medical drama’s thirty-seventh series on Saturday.
Upcoming scenes will be a challenge for Dylan.
The consultant is rocked when his mentor is admitted in the Emergency Department.
Dr Jemima Hargrove (played by Souad Faress) is rushed to hospital in a serious way after a fire in her care home.

But she’s soon accused of starting the blaze, while Dylan suspects she could be the victim of abuse.
Police get involved with DCI Vadra on the case and Jemima opens up to Dylan, stating she only returned to the burning building to retrieve an important notebook.
Dylan is torn and has to make a choice between protecting his mentor or telling the authorities everything he knows.
In December, Casualty boss Jon Sen spoke to Radio Times about the future of the show.

The executive producer had then teased a major storyline for Dylan.
“We’re doing a Dylan story from the next episode after the paramedic special”, Jon said.
“We begin a new story about him spotting abuse within the community and how he goes about solving that.”
Weeks have gone by since the program’s latest episode aired.
The instalment showed fan favourite Jan Jenning struggling to cope with her life as a paramedic.
Viewers were heartbroken when she hit a breaking point after being run ragged throughtout the episode.
“Obviously off the back of this, we are looking at Jan’s struggles”, Jon continued.
“Obviously she’s got a wife and Ffion and we portray their domestic lives, tangentially into their professional lives. I think she’ll go through struggles, but Jan will get through that.”
“Jan’s really struggled to keep her team together, and the irony is that having done all this, then it’s Jan herself who kind of suffers under the pressures.”
